Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies My Story With Jesus uses and how you can control them. This is a working version that we are finalising and may update — please contact us with any questions.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We use a small number of first-party cookies, plus browser storage, to run the Platform. We use analytics cookies only if you agree to them.
2. Essential cookies
mswj.user.token — keeps you signed in to your account. Set when you log in; expires after 24 hours.
mswj.consent — records your cookie choice so we don't ask again. Kept for 6 months.
These are required for the Platform to work and don't need consent.
3. Preference cookies
NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you selected so the Platform opens in it next time. Set when you switch language; kept for 12 months.
Parts of the Platform also use your browser's local storage for functional data, such as story drafts you are working on in the studio. This stays on your device and is not a tracking technology.
4. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
With your permission, we use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the Platform is used — for example which pages are visited — so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container id>, which typically persist for up to 2 years.
No analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set unless you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you reject or later withdraw consent, analytics stays off and we remove its cookies from your browser where possible.
5. Managing cookies
You can change your analytics choice at any time using the controls below. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, though essential cookies are required for signing in and some features may stop working without them.
6. Contact
For questions about cookies or privacy, contact us at support@mystorywithjesus.com. See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.
